Raipur, September 15, 2009: Several of the IPS officers of Chhattisgarh today expressed their unhappiness over the posting of 12 officers on recommendation of the Director General of Police Vishwa Ranjan.
It seems the capability and sincerity of the officers had not been given due weightage while considering for the posting of the IPS officers yesterday, commented a senior Police officer.
Even officers, facing serious allegations, had been posted outside the Police headquarters, which was never an encouraging thing, they added.
One of the young officer even said he failed to understand why some officers were frequently facing transfer orders like Arun Dev Gautam and Himanshu Gupta.
The order was also silent why one of the capable officers Giridhari Nayak has not been entrusted any serious responsibility in the new reshuffle, they asked.
Also on the naxal front it seems the government wanted to have a cosmetic change as recently only an IPS officer Sheikh Arif was posted as Additional SP Gariabandh, but he was not only withdrawn from that post but no one was appointed in his place when the area was facing a lot of hectic activities from the naxal side, commented another.
