Iron Ore water damaging crop in Dantewada district

     Dantewada, May 14, 2012: Dusty water of Iron ore was damaging a larger chunk of crop in Dantewada district.

     The Dantewada district administration has received complaints that a larger chunk of crop in Kuakonda block are being damaged due to iron ore added water, official sources said here.

     Because of the dusty water due to iron ore project, crop in Kadampal and nearby villages of Kuakonda block have been damaged as per the complaints received by the district administration, they said.

     The matter was raised today also in a district level meeting, in which Dantewada District Collector Om Prakash Choudhary had directed the Kuakonda Tehsildar to probe the matter and submit a survey report of loss as soon as possible.
