Raipur, November 1, 2008: Congress central leadership was seems not interested to form government in Chhattisgarh, other wise even after six days of start of nomination for the second phase poll it would not have seized with the issue of finalising names.
The notification for the second phase poll of November 20 had been issued on October 27, where as the Congress leadership, led by AICC President Sonia Gandhi was still discussing the matter with various party leaders and latest on yesterday night.
Looking into the condition, Acting President of the state PCC Charan Das Mahant had returned back to Raipur on October 27 it self from Delhi where as former Chief Minister Ajit Jogi returned yesterday from the national capital.
Meanwhile another prominent Congress leader Vidya Charan Shukla is arriving this evening, when the party has yet to finalise its rest of the 51 candidates.
In the first phase, 39 seats are going to poll on November 14 and Congress could able to release the 39 names in two phases and after a lot of opposition from various leaders on many names.
Although party leaders, like Ajit Jogi, are expressing hope to win the poll in huge margin, but they do not have any reply with out candidates how can they form the government in Chhattisgarh, which completed eight years today.
