Jogi caste under OBC category, Amit says Govt scare of them

     Raipur, September 08, 2016: After Chhattisgarh Cabinet included Jogi and Nathjogi under the Other Backward Caste category, Chhattisgarh Janata Congress today evening claimed, that was done as ruling BJP is scared of the name of Jogi.

     The cabinet decision has clearly revealed the fear factor of Jogi on BJP and its Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, Chhattisgarh Janata Congress leader Amit Jogi, MLA said.

      The cabinet was convened today only to declare Jogi as a caste, so that during the registration of Chhattisgarh Janata Congress it should not have the name of Jogi, he claimed.

     At the time of registration of their party, objections were raised that Jogi is a caste in Chhattisgarh, hence that cannot be included as a title of a political party in the state, although they had argued that Jogi was not a caste in the state and they should be allowed, said the Junior Jogi.

     “Because of that, the Raman Government has declared Jogi as a caste and included that in the OBC category,” he said in a statement adding looking into the popularity his party the government was scared and through the cabinet the decision was taken to include Jogi as a caste in the state.

     Earlier in the evening a Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh approved a proposal to include Jogi, Nathjogi, Thudia, Thuria, Gabhel, Gawel, Gudiya Gudeeya under the OBC (Other Backward Caste) category.

     The cabinet, held at the CM house this evening, discussed the recommendations of the Chhattisgarh State Backward Commission and the Scheduled Tribe Investigation and Training Institute and included eight castes into the fold of OBC, official sources told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com.
