     Raipur, December 22, 2015: Chhattisgarh Assembly today passed the second supplementary budget of Rs 2,272,98,70,220 in a voice vote.

       About 64 per cent of the budget has been earmarked for the farmers in this budget.

      Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, who hold Finance portfolio, told the house the state BJP government was dedicated to the cause of the farmers.

      Rs 1350 crore has been allotted in this budget to provide drought relief to the farmers, he said.

     Also looking into the drought condition in NREGS instead of 150 days the state government has decided to provide 200 work days, he said.
