Raipur, March 01, 2014: Karuna Shukla, senior BJP leader and niece of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, today joined Congress.
Although she had worked in BJP for 32 years, but she was never given the respect she deserved, Karuna Shukla told reporters.
To a question she said she will now continue in Congress.
Whether she discussed the matter with the former prime Minister, when asked, Shukla said she had been to the house of Vajpayee, but he was not well so the matter was discussed with other family members before she left BJP and joined Congress.
Shukla had been the member of undivided Madhya Pradesh Assembly and Lok Sabha from BJP from Korba seat.
