Mallikarjun Kharge New AICC President

     Raipur, October 19, 2022: Senior leader Mallikarjun Kharge was today elected as the new President of the All India Congress Committee (AICC).

     Mallikarjun Kharge and Shashi Tharoor were locked in a straight fight for the post of Congress President

     Kharge got 7897 votes where as Tharoor secured 1072 votes whereas 416 votes were declared invalid, Returning Officer Madhusudan Mistry said in the statement.

      Including Chhattisgarh many states en mass supported Kharge and even he was said to have the blessings of Gandhi pariwar.
