Ambikapur/Raipur, April 04, 2013: In a bizarre incident, a man today axed to death five small girl children and four women in Balrampur district of Chhattisgarh, a senior police official said.
“A total of nine female were axed to death by a 35 year old Pandu Nagesia,” Balrampur District Superintendent of Police Govardhan Singh Darroh told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com.
The incident took place in the afternoon in Behratoli village of Samri police station, about 120 km from the district headquarters Balrampur, Darroh said.
“The accused is seems to be mentally disturbed after his wife deserted him,” he said.
The victims are from his locality and the nine females are belonged to seven families, Darroh said.
The girls are between the age of two to nine and one woman was of 25 years old whereas three other women are above 60 years old, he said.
“The accused Nagesia first attacked the 25-year old women and her two year old girl child and axed them to death and subsequently killed his neighbours or of his locality one after another without any fight with them,” the District Police chief said.
The accused has been taken into custody, he said.
