Raipur, March 16, 2016: Chhattisgarh Home Minister Ajay Chandrakar today told the state Assembly the maoist problem of the state is on its fag end.
Replying to a discussion on the discussion on the budget allocation for his departments the Home, Jail and Public Health Engineer Departments, Minister Ajay Chandrakar said Maoist problem in the state is on its fag end as Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh has been continuously trying to root out the issue from the state.
With a high morale the police force is fighting the Maoists, he said.
The law and order situation in Bastar is under control because of which developmental works have been executed in the areas, the Minister said.
Also the trust on Police by people in Maoists areas like Bastar and Sarguja regions have increased, he claimed.
After the discussion, the budget of Rs 4089.83 crore for his departments, including Rs 3318.88 Crore allotted for police Department, was passed in the Assembly on a voice vote.
