Raipur, April 12, 2014: Maoists today blown up an ambulance near Darbha Ghati of Bastar district killing six people, including five security forced and injuring five others, Chhattisgarh police said.
“Maoists blown up an ambulance in Kamanar area, in which six people are killed,” senior police officer Gurjinder Pal Singh said.
“Five security personnel and a civilian driver of the government ambulance were killed in the land mine blast,” said Singh, who is the nodal officer of security for Parliamentary Election in Chhattisgarh.
Five people are also injured in that incident, Singh said.

The incident took place in Kamanar area of Bastar district, 345 kilometre south of Chhattisgarh Capital Raipur, he said.
The police party was part of a road opening party, which was deployed for security of the Polling party, Singh said.
The ambulance has been blown to pieces due to the high intensity blast of land mine on the National highway, he said.
The ambulance was blown up about 12 kilometre from Darbha, where on May 25, last year Maoists had massacred the top leadership of the Congress party of Chhattisgarh.
The blast was so powerful that the incident left a three feet crater on the tarred black top road of National Highway.
