     Jagdalpur, April 12, 2009: Maoists fire shots today to target the Director General of Central Paramilitary Forces A S Gill during his visit to Dantewada district.

     When Gill was on a visit of a CRPF camp in Chintagupha, the Maoists opened fire from a distance, top police sources told the ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com.

     “It was only a harass firing” the official said.

     There were several round of security rings for the DG CRPF and the Maoists fired from out side all those rings, which was at least three Km from him, they said.

     The DG was in Chintagupha after ten of his forces, including a Deputy Commandant were killed in a fierce encounter with Maoists on Friday.
