Jagdalpur, October 30, 2009: About 100 armed Maoists today hacked to death a prominent RSS leader and two of his brothers in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh, police said.
Nearly 100 armed left wing extremists raided Kikirpal village in Dantewada district and took out forcibly three tribals and hacked them to death, Dantewada District Superintendent of Police Ambrish Mishra told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com.
Forces have been rushed to the area for a combing operation, Mishra said adding the reason of the killing was not known immediately.
When elder brother Jai Singh Majhi is a member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and a Block Resource Coordinator (BRC), Tileswar Majhi is the Panchayat Secretary and Lachhinder Majhi is a farmer, Additional SP Sanjay Sharma said.
Jamuna, wife of Jai Singh is the Chairperson of the Chhindgarh Block and the family is a staunch supporter of BJP, police said.
