     Raipur, April 29, 2010: Chhattisgarh Government has decided to distribute mosquito nets through the ration shops in the state.

      The health department has decided to distribute mosquito nets through the fair price shops in Kanker district of Chhattisgarh, health Department officials said today.

     It was targeted to distribute one lakh such nets in Kanker district and as per the direction of the health Minister Amar Agrawal, it would now be distributed through the ration shops of the district, the officials said.

     The state government had decided to give two nets to each of the people living below poverty line, they said.

     The Government has picked up Kanker district to run a pilot project to control malaria and as a part of that one lakh mosquito nets are to be distributed in that district.
