Jagdalpur, April 15, 2010: Ten days after the killing of 76 policemen in the hand of Maoists, Chhattisgarh Home Minister Nanki Ram Kanwar today reached the massacre area.
The forces have fought bravely, Kanwar told journalists after visiting the area, where on April 6, Maoists had killed 76 CRPF and state police forces.
The Home Minister also discussed with the local villagers about their problems during the Gram Suraj Abhiyan.
The local residents of Chintalnar are confronting the issues of road, electricity, drinking water and health among others and the issues were raised before the Minister also.
Kanwar and Principal Secretary Home N K Aswal along with Commissioner Bastar Manoj Kumar Pingua, IGP Bastar and DIG Dantewada also interacted with the villagers and forces and assured them of all assistance from the state government side, official sources said.
