Raigarh, August 16, 2010: Congress MP Naveen Jindal has called for spearheading a campaign against the uncontrolled growth of population in the country.
Unfurling the Tri-Colour at the Raigarh plant on the Independence Day, the Executive Vice President of the Jindal Steel and Power Limited, Jindal said the way he fought for the national flag, a similar campaign would soon be launched for controlling population and the benefit of small family.
“We wanted people to have a happy and prosperous family and since growing population is one of the burning issues before the country, I wanted to spearhead a campaign against the population explosion,” he said.
If the explosion was not checked, the size of population would touch 140 crore from the current 120 crore, Jindal said adding having more population was never a good sign for the country and that was also an obstacle to the path of prosperity of the family.
