Kanker, February 19, 2009: Maoists today killed three personnels from the Central Reserve Police Force and injured nine of the forces in an encounter in Kanker district of Chhattisgarh.
When a police party was on search of the area they were locked in a gun battle with the Maoists in Manhakal jungle of Koilibeda area, officials said.
In that encounter three of the CRPF jawans were killed and nine personnels, including two Sub Inspectors and four Head Constables were injured.
