Raipur, October 25, 2022: Encouraged with the paddy procurement policy of the Bhupesh Baghel led Congress government in Chhattisgarh, 95 thousand new farmers have added their names in the registrar to sell their produces to the state government on the minimum support price.
Works are on war footing for the procurement of the more than 100 lakh tons of paddy for the Khariff season 2022-23, official sources told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com.
The state government plans to purchase 1.10 crore tons of paddy this season, they said adding besides procurement, elaborate arrangements have also been made to speedily proceed with the customs milling.
This year paddy will be procured from November 1, 2022 to continue for about 100 days to end on January 31, 2023.
Till date 24 lakh 5 thousand and 288 farmers have been registered with the state government to sell their paddy along with 95 thousand new farmers.
