Raigarh, May 15, 2012: Chhattisgarh Government plans to set up new industrial estates in Kharsia, Saria and Baramkela areas of Raigarh district, officials said today.
Raigarh District Collector Amit Kataria today directed the local officials to take necessary steps to set up industrial estates in the municipal area of Kharsia, Saria and Baramkela.
The direction came during a meeting with the officials from Industry, Labour, Environment and Mines at the District Collectorate here.
Kataria asked the local administration to identify 250 hectare government lands in each of the three places for setting up of the new industrial estates, officials said.
Besides Jindal Steel and Power Limited, a host of industries producing steel and power are adding to the revenue of Raigarh District.
