Kanker, April 30, 2011: In a significant development, Chhattisgarh Police today asked all the non-government organisations and voluntary organisations to submit details of their organisations to the Kanker police with in seven days.
The directors and presidents of all the NGOs and VOs, working in Kanker district, have been asked to submit details of their organisations to the Kanker Police, sources in Kanker police said here today.
When contacted District Superintendent of Police Kanker, Rahul Bhagat confirming it told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com, looking into the suspicious activities of some of the people and organisations, police was forced to issue such a directive.
The NGOs and VOs have been asked to furnish the details with in one week personally before the Additional Superintendent of Police Kanker, the sources said.
The information should be in detail and necessary documents should also be attached, the directive said.
Looking into the sensitive nature of the district because of Maoists activities, such a direction was issued, they clarified.
