Raipur, January 19, 2026: Former Chhattisgarh BJP incharge Nitin Nabin was today elected unopposed as the BJP national President at New Delhi.
The five-time Bihar MLA Nitin Nabin, 45, who succeeds J P Nadda, is the youngest ever to occupy the top party post.
Nabin emerged as the sole candidate for the post with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other senior BJP leaders filing nomination papers in his support.
He will be formally declared as BJP president tomorrow.
The former State In-charge of Chhattisgarh Nabin had earlier resigned as the minister for law and justice, urban development and housing in the Bihar government after he was appointed working president of the BJP on December 14, last.
