     Raipur, August 17, 2009: At least three confirmed cases of Swine Flu have been detected in Chhattisgarh when a total of 89 samples collected from the state, top officials said today.

     Out of the samples collected in Chhattisgarh, the laboratory tests have confirmed three of them have Swine Flu, State Health Secretary Vikash Sil told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com today.

     From various places, including Raipur and Bilaspur, a total of 89 samples had been collected by the medical authorities and sent to confirm presence of Swine Flu cases in Chhattisgarh, the senior official said.

      Meanwhile, doctors and health officials said treatment of the affected patients have been started and there was no need for anyone to be panic because of the detection of the cases.

     As per the new directives, the patients can be treated at home also, provided the family members are ready to guard a couple of things, the Health Secretary also said.

     Meanwhile, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com that the state was fully ready to face any situation.

     “However, I want to make it very clear that the Swine Flu is not in an epidemic stage in Chhattisgarh and the administration is fully ready to meet any situation,” Singh said.

     The flu has created fear in Bastar, Korba, Bilaspur, Raipur and Durg districts, which were frequently receiving guests from Swine Flu affected cities.
