            Raipur, August 24, 2008: The controversial former Rajnandgaon MP Pradeep Gandhi, who was caught in cash-for-query operation, was re-inducted into BJP today.

     State BJP President Vishnudev Sai today appointed him as the in-charge of the State Election Control Room and his office was inaugurated the same day in the presence of Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, BJP national General Secretary Ravi Shankar Prasad and a host of other top leaders at Ekatma Parishar, the state BJP headquarters, party sources said.

     Gandhi has been given charges of logistic for the coming assembly election besides coordination works for helicopter movement, vehicle and tour programmes of the central leaders during the November likely election, they said.

     Gandhi had lost his Rajnandgaon Lok Sabha membership in 2006 after caught in camera accepting cash to raise question in Parliament and subsequently from the party membership also.

     Although for a year he maintained low profile but from last year he was seen in the functions of the saffron organisations and also in the Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh.

     Gandhi had vacated his MLA seat in 2004 to enable the Chief Minister Singh to enter the state assembly and in returned he went to Lok Sabha from Rajnandgaon in 2004 poll as a BJP candidate, which was previously represented by Singh.
