Paddy procurement from Nov 16

     Raipur, October 16, 2015: Paddy procurement date has been changed by the Chhattisgarh and now it would be procured from November 16.

      The Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh today took the decision in favour of the farmers to procure paddy from November 16, official sources said.

     Earlier it was decided in the cabinet to procure the paddy from December 1.

     However, farmers’ organizations and political parties had been demanding change in date looking into the prevailing drought condition of the state.

      Considering all aspects it was decided today to start the procurement from November 16, they said.
