Raipur, January 17, 2009: Some passengers were injured today when an engine hit a passenger train in Raipur Railway Station of Chhattisgarh.
Looking into the matter, a Departmental Inquiry has been ordered into the incident, South East Central Railway Sources told www.ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com here.
An engine hit the Visakhapatnam-Korba Link Express when it was being shunted to leave for Bilaspur this morning, in which some passengers were injured.
Officials from South East Central Railways said one woman passenger sustained bleeding injuries because of which she was provided immediate medical attention at the Station.
The rest of the passengers were safe, although the train was having a minor damage due to the collision, the officials said adding the train left for its destination after some time.
