Raipur, April 25, 2011: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh today said Congress was far from reality on understanding the pulse of the people.
“Congress should understand the ground reality as people no longer prefer a party, which is involved in disturbing peace and development of their area,” Chief Minister told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com here.
Referring to the May 8 Bastar Lok Sabha by-election, he said fearing losing again from Bastar, the Congress has already started the blame game and unnecessarily creating a controversy by questioning the impartiality of the officers and employees of the state during election.
Rather Congress should understand it can no longer make the people fool through hollow promises, Singh said adding what Congress failed to do in its sixty years rule had been done in seven years of state BJP government.
In the last seven years crores of rupees have been spent in Bastar region for the development of the area and people are aware of that, Singh said and accused the Congress party of rendering only lip services on the issues relating to development of the Bastar region.
The Chief Minister also questioned the intention of the Congress in dragging the security forces in poll controversies saying the forces are deployed here for peace and they should be allowed to do their job properly.
Peace and development are two sides of a coin and both are being promoted here, he said.
