     Raipur, April 19, 2010: Looking into the condition of the state exchequer, the BJP government in Chhattisgarh has put a ban for one year of the foreign trip by the Ministers and the officials of the state government.

     The state government has banned foreign tour from the expenses of the state exchequer and the ban would continue up to March 31, 2010, officials said.

     The ban order was issued by the state Finance Department and would also be applicable to the people from various corporations and boards, the officials clarified.

     Later talking to media, Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh said the decision was taken as an austerity measure.
