Raipur, February 6, 2009: Sudha Singh, mother of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh passed away today.
She was 86 and died early today, official sources told ChhattisgarhTopNews.com.
After a brief illness she died in a private nursing home here in the capital city, they said.
Hearing the news, people from various walks of life thronged the hospital to pay their respect to the departed soul.
Her last rite would be taking place later in the day at Kawardha.
