     Raipur, January 26, 2009: A convict, who is sentenced for 10 years jail term and suppose to participate in Republic day parade, is abscond since yesterday from Raipur Central Jail, a top Police officer said today.

     Uttam, 27 years, of Saraipali in Mahasamund district was sentenced to ten years jail term on rape charges and was housed in Raipur Central Jail.

     However, violating all rules he was taken out for a tableau of the jail Department for the Republic Day Ceremony yesterday night and he went missing after was out, a top police officer told ChhattisgarhTopNews.com.

     Although he went missing yesterday but the police was informed today at 10.30 AM by the Jail Authority, he said.

     Since he was convicted for ten years he should not have been taken out from the jail for at least one year, but on whose permission he was taken out was not clear so far.
