     Raipur, January 27, 2009: A convict, who is undergoing prison term for 10 years on rape charges, is yet to be traced even after three days of his missing from the Raipur Central Jail, a top jail official said today.

     For his missing since Sunday evening from the Raipur police line, action was being initiated against some jail staff, he said

     Uttam is from Saraipali in Mahasamund district and is housed in Raipur Central Jail since October 18, last, after he was sentenced to ten years jail term on rape charges.

     However, violating all rules he was taken out for a tableau of the jail Department for the Republic Day Ceremony on Sunday evening and he went missing after was out, a top police officer told ChhattisgarhTopNews.com.

     Although he went missing on Sunday but the Jail authority informed the police the next day at 10.30 AM, he said.

     Since he was convicted for ten years he should not have been taken out from the jail for at least one year, but on whose permission he was taken out was being investigated and the Jail Superintendent can not wash off his hand from the incident, police said.
