Raipur, December 3, 2008: Repolling in eight places spread over four assembly constituencies of Chhattisgarh were under progress today after complaints of poll irregularities were received by the Election Commission.
Including this eight booths a total of 57 booths have gone for polling more than once in the state for this assembly election due to poll irregularities, Election officials told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com here.
After conducting polling in 39 segments in first phase on November 14, it went for repolling in 33 booths on November 24, where as in rest 51 seats poll were held on November 20 and the repolling in 16 places on November 25.
Of the eight booths having polls today, in five places, namely Bhongapal, Pharasgaon Kasai and Jhakadi of Keshkal seat in Bastar district and Chhote Bethia and Akamta of Antagarh segment in Kanker district would have repolling between seven AM to three PM, the officials said.
Two booths of Kunkuri constituency, namely Dandadihi and Khuntitoli in Jashpur district would go for repoll from 8 AM to 5 PM along with Amabahar booth of Dondi Lohara segment in Durg district, they said.
When Kunkuri went to poll in the second phase on November 20, the naxal hit Dondi Lohara, Keshkal and Antagarh went for poll on the first phase on November 14.
