Raipur, February 12, 2009: Chhattisgarh government has spent Rs 226.75 crore on the World Bank funded Nawa Anjor programme in the state.
Replying to a question of former Panchayat Raj Minister of Congress Amitesh Shukla, current Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Ram Vichar Netam said currently the Chhattisgarh State Rural Poverty Eradication Project Nawa Anjor in implemented in the state.
Earmarking Rs 431.72 crore this project is under operation in 40 revenue blocks, spread over 16 districts of the state, Netam told the state assembly.
However, the state has able to spend Rs 226.75 crore till December 31, last on that project, he said.
