Raipur, November 10, 2008: Sarguja Range Inspector General of Police B S Maravi was today injured in naxal firing, police sources said.
When coming from Balrampur area to his headquarters, the IGP was ambushed by naxalites, the sources told the ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com.
In the firing from the Maoists Maravi is injured, they said.
When contacted D G P Vishwa Ranjan confirmed the incident but said Maravi is being shifted to a safer place for immediate treatment.
Maravi is said to be out of danger, the sources said.
