     Raipur, September 13, 2009: IAS turned banker Shailesh Pathak today said he wanted to actively participate in the development process of Chhattisgarh.

     “No. This does not mean I want to return back to the Mantralaya at Raipur,” Pathak told ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com over phone.

     Pathak is 1990 batch IAS officer of Chhattisgarh cadre, who had worked in various sectors, including Institutional Finance, Industries and Public Relations, before his central deputation from April 4, 2006.

     After working successfully with the ICICI Ventures as a senior Director, an IIM Calcutta product Pathak has moved to the PE Indian Infrastructure Fund as its Managing Director.

     As a banker, now Pathak was actively planning to fund the state on its infrastructure development.

     After his exit from the ICICI, there were rumour that the energetic officer would return back to his parent cadre, but Pathak today clarified that he was happy where he was and was currently busy shuttling between Mumbai and Delhi to look into his work and had no immediate plans to function from the D K S Bhawan.

     However, he said, he wants to invest in the development of infrastructure of the state.
