Raipur, September 14, 2009: Power producers, regulators and policy makers today met here to discuss various issues relating to the production and distribution of energy in Chhattisgarh among others.
Participants touched upon various issues relating to the power sector and even experts took questions from the participants to clear their doubts on making the sector more viable and hassle free.
Also highlighting the need for promoting non-conventional energy, Managing Director of Chhattisgarh Renewal Energy Development Agency S K Shukla said large number of villages of the state have been electrified through solar power, although they were not connected to any grid.
Shukla and several participants also stressed for production of more but safe energy to meet the future requirement of the state.
It was informed in the meeting that the Air Port road of Raipur has been lighted through the non-conventional energy sources from the state.
