     Raipur, June 1, 2010: Former Chief Secretary Shivraj Singh was today appointed as the Deputy Chairman of State Planning Board and also Advisor to the Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh.

     The career bureaucrat was a close confidant of the Chief Minister and known as an efficient officer.

     Singh was currently functioning as the Chief Election Commissioner for Local body election.

     Shivraj Singh was this evening appointed to replace D N Tiwari, official Sources told ChhattisgarhTopNews.com.

      Along with the post of Planning Board, Shivraj would also function as the official Advisor to the Chief Minister, they said.
