Raipur, May 31, 2010: Chhattisgarh Government today relieved 1989 batch IAS officer Nand Kumar from the Chhattisgarh Cadre.
Nand Kumar is a Maharashtra Cadre IAS, who was on deputation for five years and on completion of his deputation period he was relieved from Chhattisgarh today for his parent Maharashtra cadre, officials said.
He was a controversial officer, against whom even the Lok Ayukt had recommended action in one of the appointment scandal in the School Education Department.
Revenue Secretary Sunil Kujur has been made the new School Education Secretary as additional charges.
Nand Kumar was Secretary, School Education Department from May 12, 2007, Member Secretary, State Literacy Mission Authority since February 13, 2006 and Director, State Educational Research and Training Council, Raipur since August 26, 2006 till today.
