Raipur, December 31, 2025: Significant amendments to the Chhattisgarh Industrial Policy 2024-30 were approved today in the Cabinet meeting, chaired by state Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai.

These amendments have made the policy more competitive, transparent, and investment-friendly compared to other states.

This is expected to significantly boost industrial and service sectors, as well as create new employment opportunities in the state, official sources said.

The main objective of the decisions taken by the Cabinet is to ensure the creation of sustainable and quality employment for the residents of the state. New provisions related to EPF reimbursement and employment generation grants have been added with this objective in mind.

Officials stated that now, enterprises in special sectors providing more than 50 jobs – such as pharmaceuticals, textiles, food processing, electronics, AI, IT, etc. – including MSME units, will also receive grants on the salaries paid to Chhattisgarh residents.

Expanding the scope of the service sector, the Cabinet has included computer-based testing infrastructure, e-commerce and app-based aggregators, and NABL-accredited diagnostic labs under the policy. These entities will now benefit from the incentives and grants stipulated under the Industrial Development Policy.

To accelerate the development of tourism and healthcare infrastructure, incentive-based amendments have been made for the establishment of five-star hotels in Raipur, Durg, and Bilaspur, and three-star hotels in other districts. Similarly, a decision has been taken to promote the establishment of large private multi-specialty hospitals in the state.

To enhance quality in the field of higher education, a significant decision has been taken to provide special grants under the policy to educational institutions ranked among the top 100 in the NIRF Ranking if they establish campuses in the state. This will encourage the establishment of high-quality educational institutions in Chhattisgarh and provide the state’s youth with world-class education and better opportunities.

Officials stated that these amendments, approved by the Cabinet, are a significant step towards making Chhattisgarh a rapidly emerging investment destination in the industrial and service sectors.

These decisions will help increase investment in the state, create widespread employment opportunities, and accelerate and balance the pace of industrial development, they added.
