Raipur, February 1, 2009: Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Dharamlal Kaushik has turned 52 today.
Led by Assembly Secretary Devendra Verma, the officers and employees of the Vidhan Sabha today congratulated the Speaker on his birth day today.
Since Chhattisgarh was observing state mourning due to the death of former President R Venkataraman, it was not celebrated in a big way.
The Speaker, the presence of the Secretary and other employees and media persons, planted a sapling in the premises of the assembly to mark the occasion.
The Speaker also interacted with the members from the media on various issues, including on the house business.
Replying to a question he said the MLAs can ask questions in Chhattisgarhi and the government can also reply in that language.
He also said the website of the state assembly is also strengthened.
The second part of the budget session is starting tomorrow for which all preparation has also been completed, Kaushik and Assembly Secretary Devendra Verma informed the press.
