Raipur, April 22, 2025: Chhattisgarh’s Tribal Development Minister Ramvichar Netam today met Union Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya in Delhi and had a detailed discussions for the construction of sports infrastructure under Khelo India fund.
During this, Union Minister Dr. Mandaviya gave in-principle consent to the proposals presented by Netam for the construction of sports infrastructure under Khelo India fund at various places in Ramanujganj-Balrampur district and assured to give approval soon.

Minister Netam said that with the approval of these proposals, sports activities will also be promoted in his Ramanujganj-Balrampur district.
On the lines of Khelo India, the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai is also working to encourage the youth of the state towards sports through Khelo Chhattisgarh, he said.
A proposal has been presented to Dr. Mandaviya for stadium construction and leveling work costing Rs 1 crore 50 lakh in village panchayat Ganjar under assembly constituency Ramanujganj, district Balrampur, Netam said.
Similarly, a proposal has been made for construction of cricket stadium near village Trishuli Haldimod at a cost of Rs 1 crore 50 lakh, construction of mini stadium in Dindo at a cost of Rs 1 crore, construction of multipurpose indoor stadium in Ramanujganj, Balrampur and Ramchandrapur at a cost of Rs 15 crore per work.

Similarly, a proposal of Rs 5 crore for construction of paved ground and seating bench for volleyball and badminton in Ramanujganj and construction of a fully equipped sports complex in Ramanujganj, estimated to cost Rs 10 crore, has been placed before Union Sports and Youth Minister Dr. Mandaviya.
Dr. Mandaviya has given in-principle consent to these proposals and assured early approval. Once these works are approved, sports activities will also be promoted in Ramanujganj Assembly constituency, Netam added.
