     Raipur, October 01, 2016: Survey of India has prepared guide maps for the capital city of Raipur and also the Naya Raipur, the area that housed the new state Secretariat and other important office buildings of Chhattisgarh Government.

     Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh today inaugurated the guide map of Raipur and the Naya Raipur at a glance and congratulated the Survey of India for their endeavour.

     Both the maps were prepared by the Chhattisgarh unit of the Survey of India for which its state Director Dr M Stalin was praised by the Chief Minister in a function.

     Stalin told Singh that the maps were prepared with the help of satellite images and aerial photography, which was verified from the ground also.

     All the important places, including blood banks, hospitals, ATMs, government offices, market places, schools and colleges have been shown in the maps, Stalin said.

     The Chief Minister hoped that the maps would be beneficial for the town planners, teachers and students of the educational institutions and the tourists.

     Technical officer of Chhattisgarh unit of the Survey of India R K Patnaik and unit in-charge M Tigga were also present on that occasion.
