Raipur, August 19, 2009: Congress MLA T S Singh Deo was today arrested at Bhopal after ten bullets were found in his possession while he was boarding a plane to Raipur.
Singh Deo was arrested under Arms Act after found with bullets, for which he was having insufficient documents, officials said from Bhopal.
The Congress MLA admitted carrying bullets but said it was for a licensed weapon.
Talking to ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com Singh Deo said he was given bail after arrest.
He said he had the authorization letter to carry the bullets but that was said to be insufficient and it had to with the person, against whom the licence was issued, or in other words his wife should carry that bullets, Singh Deo said.
It was a mistake, he admitted over phone from Bhopal.
