    Raipur, October 04, 2012: Top IT industry honchos, Chief Executive Officers, Managing Directors and heads of companies today met Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh and expressed their enthusiasm in investing in the mineral rich state.

     During a road show organised in Bengaluru to welcome global information technology and bio technology sectors to participate in the “Global Investors Meet-2012” slated for the first week of November in Naya Raipur, the Chief Minister today held one and one meeting and discussed with investors on various sectors.

     Large number of investors thronged the venue to attend the road show and held meetings with the delegation, led by Singh.

     State Industry Minister Rajesh Munat, Chhattisgarh Industrial Development Corporation Chairman Badridhar Diwan, Chief Secretary Sunil Kumar, Principal Secretary Agriculture M K Raut, Energy Secretary Aman Singh, Industry Secretary Dinesh Kumar Shrivastav, Commissioner Housing and Director Public Relations Sonmoni Borah, Managing Director CSIDC Devendra Singh, MD Tourism Santosh Mishra and CEO of Naya Raipur Development Authority S S Bajaj were part of the delegation.

     Representatives from IT and IT-enabled Services (ITeS), who met the Chief Minister and discussed investment prospects, were Chairman Avinash Vashist and Senior Vice President Sanjeev Gupta (Accenture), Head Strategic Markets Ravi Dhulipala Manjunath (Ingersoll Rand), Global head of infrastructure Ramadas Kamat and Commercial facilities Anup Upadhay (Infosys Technologies), National Business Head D K Das, Vice President Tanmoy Chakrabarty and Regional Head, Bangalore E S Chakrabarty (TCS), Vice President, Amit Sharma (IBM), Managing Director M K Menon (Flextronics) and Global Head, Operations Hari Hegde (Wipro).

Companies such as Mytrah Energy, Empergy, Harsha Abakus Solar, Soham Energy and Tata Power Solar showed their interest in investment in the New and Renewable Sources of Energy (NRSE) sector. 

     Other representatives from Sobha Developers, Life Technology, Vastra Overseas, Natural Remedies, ABB, Innovative Film City, Klene Paks, GMR and Narayana Hrudalaya also held discussions with the Chief Minister.
