VC orders probe into Shanti Kashyap matter

     Bilaspur, August 04, 2015: Vice Chancellor of Pandit Sundarlal Sharma Open University, Bilaspur, Bansh Gopal Singh today took cognizance of the Lohandiguda Examination centre, where someone else was appearing on behalf of Shanti Kashyap, wife of School Education Minister Kedar Kashyap of Chhattisgarh.

      Two officials have been asked to visit the examination centre and probe the matter, University officials said here.

      Regional Coordinators from Bhilai and Bilaspur would probe the incident, they said.

       At the Lohandiguda Government Higher Secondary School of Bastar District, in the final MA English examination instead of Shanti Kashyap someone else was appearing in the exam today, officials said.

     When officials reached the Centre and started probing the identity of the girl who was appearing for Shanti, the girl slipped out of the room silently without revealing her original identity.

       Lohandiguda Tehsildar had also reached the School and initiated action on the matter, officials said.

     However, when asked School Education Minister Kedar Kashyap today said he was not aware about the controversy over someone else had appeared in the examination in place of his wife Shanti.

      “I am not aware about the incident as I am away from the capital,” said Kedar Kashyap.
