Virendra Pal Singh new VC of Agril Univ

     Raipur, August 11, 2011: Chhattisgarh Governor Shekhar Dutt today appointed Dr Virendra Pal Singh as the new Vice Chancellor of the Indira Gandhi Agriculture University, Raipur.

     Singh is appointed in place of Dr M P Pandey, who is retiring on September 7, next.

     Since 2003 Singh has been functioning as the Regional Representative of the South Asia for International Centre for Research in Agroforestry.

     Born on May 08, 1951, he was passed out from the G B Pant Agriculture and Technology University, Nainital of B Sc Agriculture and Animal Husbandry in 1971.
