New Delhi, August 28, 2009: Prominent advocate Vivek K Tankha has been appointed as the Additional Solicitors General.
“Tankha has been appointed by the Government of India as the Additional Solicitors General of India (Direct Taxes) in the Supreme Court,” official sources said today.
Tankha is a known face also in Chhattisgarh, who had worked for a longer period as the Advocate General of its parent state Madhya Pradesh.
Tankha is also known for his close proximity with several Congress leaders of Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, including AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh.
