Raipur, May 03, 2026: In a rare scene Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today played cricket with village players during his Sushasan Tihar tour of the state.
During visit to Jashpur district, a truly heartwarming and inspiring scene unfolded in the village of Bhaisamuda when Chief Minister Sai made an impromptu visit to the premises of the Government Primary School, Chandagarh.
Upon arriving at the school, his gaze fell upon a group of children playing cricket on the ground—children whose energy and enthusiasm were truly a sight to behold.
The children’s exuberance so captivated the Chief Minister that, casting aside all formalities, he stepped directly onto the field and began playing cricket alongside them. Seeing the Chief Minister playing in their midst, the children’s joy doubled, and the entire atmosphere became charged with excitement and jubilation.

During this interaction, Chief Minister Sai engaged in a relaxed conversation with the children, inquiring about their daily routines, their studies, and their interests in sports. He asked the children whether they played regularly and which specific sports held a special appeal for them.
Amidst this cordial interaction with the children, he also sought to understand the current state of sports facilities in rural areas and identify the specific resources that were felt to be lacking.
The Chief Minister also conversed with Prakash Thakur, a player present on the field, to learn about his experiences and various aspects related to sports, thereby gaining insight into the actual ground reality of sports activities at the local level.

Observing the children’s enthusiasm and their keen interest in sports, Chief Minister Sai directed the Jashpur District Collector to ensure that the necessary cricket kits and sports uniforms were provided to the students of the school.
He emphasized that children in rural areas, too, deserve access to superior sports facilities so that they may properly hone their skills and secure opportunities for advancement.
This vision articulated by the Chief Minister emerged as a positive initiative aimed at fostering the balanced development of both sports and education.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Sai also held discussions with Roshan Pratap Singh, the local Sarpanch, to gather information regarding the village’s current status, ongoing development projects, and local requirements.
He directed that all necessary initiatives be undertaken to ensure the holistic development of the village, thereby facilitating balanced progress not only in terms of basic amenities but also in the vital spheres of education and sports.
The Chief Minister’s surprise visit was not limited merely to an administrative inspection; rather, the spontaneous and inspiring moments he shared with the children fostered an atmosphere of exceptional enthusiasm and trust among the villagers. This scene served as a powerful symbol: when the administration reaches the grassroots level to engage in direct dialogue, it does not merely review schemes, but also infuses people’s lives with positive energy and inspiration.
