Raipur, October 13, 2022: Arrested IAS officer Sameer Vishnoi’s wife Preeti Vishnoi today met Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and complaint to him about the harassment by the sleuth of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) during raid and subsequent interrogation of the couple.

Without identifying themselves, a group of people entered our house around 5.30 AM on October 11 and started searching our house. When my husband reached the spot and asked them to show the legal documents they refused to show that, Preeti Vishnoi complaint to the Chief Minister.

They were a group of 15, 20 people. They misbehaved with us and snatched away mobile phones from both of us. They also pressurised us to sign on certain documents, she alleged.

She also claimed that the officials had threatened them to give statement as advised by them else would be languishing in the jail.

She also claimed that they were being forced to become approver, which we denied, she added.

The allegation could not be verified as the ED or related officials were not taking questions from the media.

However, on the issue of raid, both the BJP and Congress are locked in a political battle for the last three days.

The ED, meanwhile, today arrested Director CHiPS and MARKFED, Sameer Vishnoi and two others and produced before a local court to take them in custody.
