     Raipur, October 13, 2022: Enforcement Directorate (ED) today arrested an IAS officer of Chhattisgarh cadre and two others after raids in multiple locations of the state.

     A 2009-batch IAS Sameer Vishnoi was arrested by the ED two days after the central agency raided premises of the senior officials, politicians and businessmen in the state in the wee hours on Tuesday, reports said.

     Vishnoi is currently posted as Chief Executive Officer of CHiPS (Chhattisgarh Infotech Biotech Promotion Society) and Managing Director of the State Cooperative Marketing Federation (Markfed).

     Besides the IAS officer, 2 others persons, including a businessman have also been arrested by the central agency.

      The ED raid has become a hot debate in the political circle ahead of the next year assembly election.
