Raipur, October 25, 2008: Wife of a disgraced IAS officer today met the central Election Commission at the Raipur Airport.
After a day long tour and finally removing three IAS officers from their posts when the Election Commissioners were on their way to Delhi today, at the Raipur Airport one of the IAS officer’s wife reportedly met them, official sources claimed to ChhattisgarhTopNews.Com.
It was not immediately known what was discussed between the wife of the IAS officers and the Commission but sources claimed both might have discussed the last night order in which the Commissioner of Bastar and District Collectors of Kanker and Raipur were shifted by the EC.
Attempts to talks to the affected officer or his wife proved futile.
The full Commission led by Chief Election Commissioner N Gopalaswami and Commissioners Navin B Chawla and S Y Qureshi yesterday had meetings for about four hours with the state officials including Collectors, SPs, Chief Secretary and the Director General of Police.
If any of the Collectors or SPs found violating the model code of conduct or not implementing the directives of the Commission properly, they would be removed from their post with out any delay, the CEC had also told the meeting.
