Raipur, February 08, 2012: After a meeting between Rail Minister Dinesh Trivedi and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh here today a high level working group was constituted to improve rail infrastructure in the state.
The working Group has also been asked to prepare its report with recommendations by February 15, a state government release said here.
The working group has been asked to identify routes for Railway common corridor and prepare draft report, it said.
The working group would be headed by Chef Secretary Sunil Kumar. Secretary to the Chief Minister Subodh Kumar Singh would be member along with Additional Member (Engineering) Railway Board A M Ramanathan, Railway Board Advisor (Infrastructure) Ranjan Jain, South East Central Railway General Manager Arunendra Kumar and former state Chief Secretary S K Mishra, the release said.
Principal Secretary Finance, Secretary Power, Commerce and Industry and Mines have also been made members to the group on approval of the Chief Minister.
Principal Secretary Home and Transport has been made the convener of the group.
Representatives from South Eastern Coalfield Limited, National Thermal Power Corporation and Confederation of Indian Industries have also been nominated to the group.
